Recycled Groove

Our task was to make a grooved coffee table with limited tool capabilities. The first step was to find the perfect wood to fit the project.
Oak never fails to be a reliable & beautiful option and as always recycled barn wood was our prime choice. Once agreed upon the next step was to get carving.
From making the grooves, sanding with several grits, joining the pieces & picking the final varnish, the process went as smooth as possible.
Our grooved coffee table now lives in Boston, MA.
